A variety of posters and notices relevant to restaurants, food-service businesses, and commercial businesses are published by Federal agencies including the FDA, USDA, and the Department of Health & Human Services. These posters educate employees about various food safety and health practices, such as providing references for safe cooking temperatures for various foods. It is recommended to display posters relevant to your kitchen in a prominent area.

In addition to the optional food-service specific posters found on this page, most states require Hand Washing & Hygiene Posters to be displayed by food-handling businesses. Some states provide their own posters, which are listed on our state poster pages, while others allow generic or Federal posters to fulfill their posting requirements.
